Goodbye to a year both dull and flat
A tension-less transition to stress-free days
Where each tomorrow was another today
All-in-all a year of plenty and a year of less
A year where we all felt very blessed
Although excitement was far behind
We truly enjoyed this uninteresting time

Too much grey to ever forget the past
Those crazy, turmoil-filled moments we lived
When we watched our world take a dive
I want another uninteresting year
One filled with peace and love and plenty of cheer
No more curses for those I love
Just happy days blessed from above

Hello all (if any),

Through this holiday season, I've take a break as I was tapped out creatively. I'm hoping to recharge sufficiently to start the new year off on the right foot. I don't mind writing bad poetry - but I draw the line at terrible poetry.

Challenges all come and go
They're to test how much we know
If we step up then we're all set
But if not, then we're not ready yet
It's interesting looking back
At all those tasks that changed our tack

Another sleep closer yet
More excitement building
Little souls are planning

Crystals cover everything
White and cold are we
The merriest time is around the bend
We are now filling with glee!

Can the soul be satisfied
With only one true love?

The beauty in your voice
Brings me to tears
It evokes those thoughts
The ones no one else hears
It's been far too long
And I'm glad that it broke
As I've been longing for the magic
What's come before was a sad joke

Let out the steam, it's getting hot
Make sure to clear or things will rot

Tinkling reds and sparkling greens
Dazzling lights and diamond white
The festive colours are here at last

Trying to find the peace

Can really be a challenge

Sick bunny

Bunny is sick, she's not feeling well
But inside she's hopping,

On upset tummies or feeling way too hot
She's got games to play, pictures to paint
And it's hard getting her to stop
Even just for a while so her body can heal
Forcing a nap is a really big deal!

How life changes
in the blink of an eye
All we plan and do
is nothing more than try
We control nothing
although we believe we can

A heaviness rests on my eyelids

All hallows eve comes but once a year
A time of whispers and sometimes fear
When veils are thinnest we must beware

But the good can also often break through

We've grown wings
To best the sky

Staring down at the clouds
From way up high above
That's where we find assurance

A thick and heavy curtain
Of mist hangs from the sky
